BWMC Offers Event for Caregivers

Glen Burnie - On Saturday, November 14 from 1 to 4 p.m., Baltimore Washington Medical Center will host "When They Rely on You – The Sandwich Generation: Caring for Both Children and Parents" a free educational seminar to help area caregivers manage the stress and challenges of caring for a loved one while raising a family. This seminar will be presented by Dr. Michael Ankrom, Chief of Geriatric Medicine at BWMC. The seminar will be followed by a decoupage activity, led by Paper in the Park of Severna Park. Participants will have the opportunity to transform a simple glass vase (provided) into a unique piece of art using simple paper cut-outs.

Vendors from local facilities and organizations will be available to share resources and answer questions about their services and programs. Refreshments will be served.

The seminar will be held in the Courtney Conference Center, located on the lower level of the Tate Center at 305 Hospital Drive. Reservations for the seminar are requested and can be made by calling 410-787-4367.
