Newborn Care Workshop: This interactive, hands-on class teaches new parents and grandparents how to care for their babies with evidence based knowledge and confidence. Topics such as diapering, bathing, soothing, feeding, safety, and caring for a baby are discussed, demonstrated, and practiced. $25 fee includes mother and partner.
One-Day Childbirth Education Class: Developed for busy expecting parents, this one-day class describes the physiology of birth and the emotional aspects of labor. The class content focuses on evidence-based information that empowers parents to manage the process of labor and birth and make informed choices for their birth experience. There is practice time included in the all day session so come comfortably dressed and if desired a blanket and pillows for positioning. Meal breaks are offered and you are welcome to bring your lunch or access the Café on site. A tour of the Pascal Family Birthing Center is included. Second trimester registration is recommended.
Essentials of Breastfeeding: Learn how to breastfeed with confidence. This course will cover the basics of breastfeeding including benefits of breastfeeding, how breast milk is made, initiating breastfeeding, various breastfeeding positions, establishing and identifying a good latch, and feeding guidelines. This interactive class also includes a helpful book. The $25 fee includes mother and partner. Second trimester registration is recommended.
Childbirth Express/Refresher Class: This is an express childbirth preparation class that gives a brief overview of signs and symptoms of labor, basic physiology of labor and birth, what to expect when coming to the hospital, breathing and relaxation techniques to manage labor and anesthesia options. It is ideal for families who may want a very basic childbirth class, need a childbirth refresher course, or for those who will be requesting anesthesia for pain relief. $25 fee includes mother and support person. Second trimester registration is recommended.
Preparing to be a Big Brother/Big Sister: This class helps big brothers and sisters ages 3-5 adjust to their new sibling by teaching them what to expect with the arrival of a new baby. Topics covered include baby safety, what a newborn looks like and sounds like, and how babies grow and change. $25 fee per family.
Pumping: Making it Work: Learn how to use a breast pump to express milk along with pumping techniques and frequency, safe milk handling and storage. Bring your pump. $25 fee per mother. Recommended for mothers after their babies are born.
Comfort Techniques for Natural Birth: Designed for parents who wish to learn more about non-pharmaceutical pain relief options, this class is very hands-on and interactive. The $25 fee includes the mother and up to two members of her labor support team. Please dress comfortably and appropriate for various position changes and practice of hands-on comfort techniques. It is recommended to bring a pillow from home.

Prenatal Yoga: Ten-week session designed for the journey of pregnancy. Physician consent required. $60. Visit mybwmc.org/exercise for registration and more info on our exercise classes.
Lactation Support Group: Get answers to questions while connecting with and supporting other moms. Led by a certified lactation consultant, all breastfeeding moms and children are welcome.
