Karen Olscamp Ms. Olscamp received her bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester and her Master of Health Services Administration from George Washington University. She completed her residency program at BWMC and assumed the position of Assistant to Administration. Ms. Olscamp was promoted in 1988 to Vice President, Operations and served as Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 1997 to 2008. She serves on many boards, is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Maryland Association of Healthcare Executives. Ms. Olscamp was named President and CEO in August of 2008. |

Ronald Andro Mr. Andro received his bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota and a master’s degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. He joined BWMC in July 2011 and is responsible for the medical center’s day-to-day operations. He will also be involved in patient care services as well as employee retention and development. Prior to joining the medical center, Mr. Andro served as Vice President of Operations at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Mercy Hospital and was responsible for the management and oversight of the 492-bed, trauma-I tertiary care academic medical center. |

Alfred Pietsch Mr. Pietsch received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Towson State University and joined BWMC in 1988 as a Budget and Cost Manager. Mr. Pietsch was promoted to Assistant Director of Finance in 1992 and named Director of Finance in 1997. He has held his current position as Sr. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2000. Mr. Pietsch is the Treasurer of Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians, Arundel Physicians Associates and Baltimore Washington Health Enterprises. He is an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. |

Lawrence Linder, MD, FACEP Dr. Linder received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. His residency was in Emergency Medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware/Christiana Health System. After starting with the emergency physician group at BWMC in 1991, Dr. Linder became Vice Chair of the Emergency Department in 1993 and Chair in 1999. He was elected President of the Maryland Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians for 2 consecutive 2 year terms. He served on the BWMC Board of Directors from 2001-2004. He has held his current position of Sr. Vice President and Chief Medical Officer since 2004. Dr. Linder is a fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians as well as the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Linder is responsible for the hospital based physician groups including: the adult hospitalists (in patient team), the pediatric hospitalists, the intensivists, the Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians, the house officers, the psychiatrists, and the pathologists. Most of the Department Chairs report to him directly or indirectly. He is chair of the PI/RM Committee (Performance Improvement/Risk Management) and sits on the MEC (Medical Executive Committee) as well as many other hospital committees. The Quality and Safety Department along with Social Work report up to him indirectly through Mary Jozwik. Dr. Linder is also responsible for the Medical Staff Services Office. |

Kathleen McCollum Ms. McCollum currently oversees the medical center's strategic planning, business development, marketing & communications, and leased property management functions. She is responsible for several clinical programs including the Tate Cancer Center, Maryland Vascular Center, Cardiology, the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, the Wound Center and the Spine and Neurosciences Center, as well as physician practice operations through BW Health Services. Ms. McCollum joined BWMC in 2001 as Vice President and Executive Director of the Tate Cancer Center. She received her bachelor's degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Health Science degree in Health Finance and Management at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. Ms. McCollum currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Hospice of the Chesapeake. |

Mary Jozwik Ms. Jozwik received her Master of Health Services Administration degree from George Washington University, after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maryland. She joined BWMC in 2005 in her current position, Vice President, Quality and Patient Safety. Ms. Jozwik is also the past president-elect of the Parole Rotary Club of Annapolis. Ms. Jozwik provides direction for the following programs: the Care Management Program - to ensure appropriate utilization of resources consistent with the highest quality patient care; the Performance Improvement Program - to continually improve patient care; the Infection Prevention Program - to provide a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors; and, the Patient Safety Program – to deliver safe patient care. |

Colleen Roach Ms. Roach received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Georgetown University and her Master of Public Health degree in Health Services Administration from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She joined BWMC in 1985 as the hospital's chief nursing officer, under the title Director of Nursing. In 1992, she was named Vice President/Chief Nurse Executive. Ms. Roach's areas of responsibility include over 1,200 full time equivalent associates, encompassing most direct patient care departments, as well as Environmental Services, Laundry and Linen, Nutritional Services, the Café, and Central Transport Services. As BWMC's highest ranking Nursing leader, she is responsible for directing the implementation of hospital-wide programs, policies, and procedures that address how nursing care needs of BWMC's patients are assessed, met, and evaluated. She is also responsible for the ongoing Nursing quality improvement program, and exercises final authority over staff in the provision of nursing care in all settings throughout BWMC. |

Beth Peters Ms. Peters has served as Vice President for Development and Executive Director of the Baltimore Washington Medical Center Foundation since 1999. Before starting with BWMC, she served as Director of Development and Public Relations at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital from 1997-1999. Ms. Peters earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration at Loyola College of Maryland. Ms. Peters has served on the Board of several non-profit organizations. Ms. Peters directs the fundraising activities of the BWMC Foundation and serves as its Executive Director. |

Frank Venuto Mr. Venuto joined BWMC in May 2008. Prior to joining, he served as Vice President for Human Resources at Dimensions Healthcare System and Frederick Memorial Healthcare System. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Towson State University and his Masters of Administrative Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians, Inc. and the Anne Arundel County Local Workforce Investment Board. Mr. Venuto is responsible for the organization's Compensation and Benefit Programs, Retirement Programs, Recruitment and Retention Programs, Employee Relations, and Employee Occupational Health Services. |

Susan Ward Ms. Ward joined BWMC as Vice President in 1989. Prior to that Ms. Ward was an Assistant Vice President at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson from 1982-1989. Ms. Ward received her master's degree in Health Services Administration from George Washington University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from James Madison University. Ms. Ward serves on the Board of Directors for Baltimore Washington Emergency Physicians, Inc. and the Baltimore Washington PET Center, LLC. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Special Beginnings, Birth and Women's Center. Additionally, she is a member of the Maryland Association of Healthcare Executives and an Associate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Ms. Ward is responsible for management of the capital budget; administratively responsible for most of the ancillary departments and the support departments of Security and Facilities Engineering. Through Facilities she oversees the Facility Master Planning process and a significant amount of the hospital's construction services and was the coordinator for all planning activities associated with the opening of the Emergency Department expansion, and the patient care building. Ms. Ward is also the liaison to the Auxiliary. |

Jose Zeruto Mr. Zeruto began his career at BWMC in 1975 as Assistant Controller. Since then, he has held the position of Assistant Director of Finance, Director of Finance and has been in his current position as Vice President since 1997. Mr. Zeruto attended the University of Baltimore and is an advance member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He also served as treasurer of the BWMC Employees Federal Credit Union from 1976 to 1981. Mr. Zeruto is responsible for the revenue cycle, patient financial services (charging, billing & collections), admissions, Emergency Department registration, HIM (Medical Records), procurement, purchasing, and inventories. |
