Your child's doctor will determine if this medicine should not be used for any reason.
How to Use This Medicine
Gas
- This medicine is sometimes given through a face mask. It also may be given inside a plastic tent that is placed over the baby. The medicine is put into the air of the tent for breathing.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
Warnings While Using This Medicine
- Your baby should not stop receiving this medicine suddenly. The doctor will slowly decrease your child's dose before stopping it completely.
- Your baby will be checked at regular intervals while receiving this medicine.
Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Blue lips, pale skin.
- Fever, chills, cough.
- Loss of consciousness.
- Shortness of breath.
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Noisy breathing.
If you notice other side effects that you think are caused by this medicine, tell your doctor
