Enfermedad de Hashimoto (tiroiditis crónica)

La tiroiditis crónica (enfermedad de Hashimoto) es una inflamación de la tiroides persistente y de desarrollo lento que a menudo resulta en hipotiroidismo, el cual es el entorpecimiento de la función de la glándula tiroides. Afecta con mayor frecuencia a las mujeres de mediana edad.
