Litotripsia

La litotripsia extracorporal por ondas de choque (LEOCH) es un procedimiento que se usa para desintegrar cálculos renales simples o del tracto urinario superior. Las ondas ultrasónicas pasan a través del organismo hasta que chocan con los cálculos. Las vibraciones de estas ondas pulverizan los cálculos, los cuales pasan con mayor facilidad por el uréter hacia el exterior del organismo a través de la orina.
