Desfibrilador-cardioversor implantable

Un desfibrilador-cardioversor implantable (DCI) es un dispositivo diseñado para detectar rápidamente un ritmo cardíaco acelerado y potencialmente mortal proveniente de la cámara inferior del corazón. Este dispositivo convierte el ritmo anormal de nuevo en ritmo normal, suministrando un choque eléctrico al corazón.
