The Outpatient Infusion Center at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center treats patients who need infusions including, but not limited to, biotherapy drugs, long-course IV antibiotic therapy, and blood or platelet transfusions. The center also provides care and maintenance of central venous access devices, like implanted infusion ports and PICC lines. The Infusion Center is staffed by Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians who are specially trained in managing intravenous infusions.

Located on the lower level of the Outpatient Care Center (255 Hospital Drive) on UM BWMC's campus, the center is open Monday through Sunday from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm by appointments only. Appointments are scheduled to allow for the length of time needed to administer the medication or blood.

The Outpatient Infusion Center works closely with a patient's referring provider, as well as the patient's family and caregivers. Our team collaborates with other hospital departments including care management, laboratory, and dietary to provide the best treatment course for each patient.

To schedule an appointment, please call your physician. If you have questions or need to speak directly to our staff, please call 410-787-6792.
