Excellent opportunities for BC/BE OB/GYNs in central Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Baltimore Washington Medical Center, a community hospital that is part of the University of Maryland Medical System, opened an 18-bed obstetrical unit in October 2009. It offers laborist coverage and is now recruiting to ensure physician capacity for this growing community.
Physician will be on staff at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. BWMC is a suburban community hospital consisting of 311 beds with a medical staff of 600+ physicians affiliated with the University of Maryland. BWMC's services include the Tate Cancer Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Wound Healing Center, The Maryland Vascular Center, the Joint Replacement Center, Spine and Pain Center and the Aiello Breast Center. BWMC recently opened a six-story patient tower, which includes 111 private medical surgical beds, a state-of-the-art 24-bed intensive care unit, and a new obstetrical unit.
Baltimore Washington Medical Center is situated near the Chesapeake Bay, an enticing place to live, work and play because of the diversified lifestyles that are offered. The hospital is located between Baltimore-Washington and Annapolis, thus providing easy access to cultural, recreational and educational opportunities.
