Preventative Care
The Maryland Vascular Center at Baltimore Washington Medical Center offers free monthly vascular screenings to help detect carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The screenings are offered to people 50 years or older who have one of the following risk factors: hypertension, diabetes, family history of vascular disease, high cholesterol or a smoking habit. The 2010 vascular screenings will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following days (registration is required):
