Meet Our Registered Nurses:
Theresa DeVeaux, RN, BSN, MS, ACNP-BC
Mrs. DeVeaux received her BSN and MS degrees from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, and is a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with additional certification in cardiovascular and critical care nursing. Mrs. DeVeaux is a Faculty Associate at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and serves on the Executive Council of the Society for Vascular Nursing. Terry coordinates pre-op patient planning, manages in-patient and out-patient follow-up, and the medical management of non-surgical vascular problems. She has a special interest in vascular disease prevention.
Christine Owen, RN, BSN, MS, CRNP-AC
Ms. Owen is a graduate of the University of Maryland Acute Care/Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Nursing CNS/ACNP program and is a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She has over 20 years of surgical critical care nursing experience including assisting with open heart procedures and working in burn units. Ms. Owen is primarily involved in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care of our vascular patients. She has a special interest in endovascular interventions.
Deidre Smith, RN, BSN, MSN
Mrs. Smith received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has over ten years of experience in cardiovascular care and joined UM BWMC’s Vascular Center in 2017. She coordinates the outpatient management of our patients and facilitates their follow-up non-invasive surveillance. She has a particular interest in prevention, screening, and education of patients and their families about peripheral arterial and venous disease. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Meet Our Registered Vascular Technologists:
All of our technologists are ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologists (RVT) and the lab is led by technical director Robin Williamson.
Dave Robley: Dave has over 30 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and has worked at the Vascular Center since 2002. He is a certified registered diagnostic medical sonographer, registered vascular technologist and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Mr. Robely is a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Society of Vascular Technology. He is a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County Ultrasound Technology Program.
Robin Williamson: Robin has over 15 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist and has worked at the Vascular Center since 2004. She is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer registered in general and obstetrical ultrasound as well as vascular sonography. Mrs. Williamson is a member of the Society of Vascular Technology. She has been a clinical instructor for the University of Maryland Baltimore County Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program since 2000.
Nicole Brandts: Nicole is a certified registered diagnostic medical sonographer and registered vascular technologist. Ms. Brandts has been performing ultrasound since 2001 and has been employed with the Vascular Center at UM BWMC since 2006.
Nicole Lanham: Nicole is a registered vascular technologist. Ms. Lanham has been performing ultrasound since 2009 and has been employed with the Vascular Center at UM BWMC since 2012.
Matthew Russo: Matthew is a certified registered vascular technologist with more than 5 years of experience and has worked at the Vascular Center since 2016. He is a graduate of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Prior to going to school for ultrasound he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Salisbury University.
